The Light of Other Days by Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen Baxter
The book explores what happens when humans create quantum worm holes to view other worlds and each other. I read this book about once every 5 years because I enjoy it so much.

Star Trek: Destiny #1: Gods of Night by David Mack
This is book 1 of a trilogy that explores the human connection to the Borg. The trilogy is a page turner. Several parts of these books brought me to tears. You gotta read all three. I keep thinking about how lousy verbal and written communication is between us humans.

Star Trek: Destiny #2: Mere Mortals by David Mack
This is book 2 of the Destiny trilogy.
Star Trek: Destiny #3: Lost Souls by David Mack
This is the final book of the Destiny trilogy. This trilogy was breathtaking. Such a melody of plot and well developed characters. Gives food for the imagination of how humans could evolve to become more human.
Encounter with Tiber by Buzz Aldrin & John Barnes
Feel the desperation of an alien culture that must leave its homeword. Loved the zero point energy drive on their interstellar ship.
